NEW ENGLAND CLAM CAKES 1 1/2 c. flour 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 2 tsp. baking powder 2 eggs, beaten 1/2 c. milk 1 tsp. melted shortening 1 can minced clams (do not drain) 1/4 c. dry minced onions or 1 fresh onion, minced. Mix all together with spoon. Drop by teaspoonfuls into deep fryer (365 degrees). Fry until golden brown. #VisitRhodeIsland
Clam Cakes!! Take a large can of chopped clams, 2 sleeves of saltine crackers, 2 eggs, 2 tsp baking powder and a small amount of clam juice. Make batter & let sit overnight, make into patties and deep fry. YUMMY!
