When most people think about visual skills, they think about how well a child can see, or visual acuity. But there are a whole slew of other skills – visual perceptual skills – that help kids make sense of what they see.
Visual Perception Activities for Children

Use a white board grid and have the child use a dry erase marker to connect matching images together. Must be able to recognize which images are the same. Can increase difficulty by adding more images in the same grid and spreading the matches further apart.
Ping Pong Puzzles! Encourage development of the arches of the hand, web space and in hand manipulation. Practice academic and visual perceptual skills.
