The late Dick Clark, was host of the American Bandstand, he was actually the second host. The first host was Bob Horn from 1952 to 1956 and several others hosted it, but Dick Clark hosted it for the longest tenure 1956- 1989. The WFIL studios where Bandstand took place was actually located at 45th & Market Streets
