Gladiators could be men or woman, and even young adults. Some were trained intensely and others just thrown in to die for the crowd. They faced different animals such as wild bears, buffalo, bulls, tigers, and lions.
Fun fact: when gladiators or warriors wore no chest plate to cover their vital organs, it was a challenge to their adversary
