It's that time of the year again...time for report cards! I love to have my students fill out this self-reflection since our standards based report cards do not have a spot for characteristics of learning. This is a valuable tool to show parents at conferences or to send home with the report card. More
what I love about this method of exit tickets is the self-evaluating the students have to do in placing their sticky note on the stop light. They have to decide how they feel about their level of understanding. And guess what? The students are almost always accurate!! FREE!!! Link at bottom. This is a rubric I created for my first grade class to use as a checklist before they turn in work to me. It is not something they must fill out every time they write, but more of a checklist that they review before turning work in. They keep this sheet in their binder so that they can review it when they do their homework as well. http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Handwriting-Rubric-1594028
