Today, I thought I would showcase my evolution as an author

When I started I just had the ebook and paperback of TQ. About 3 years ago, I added the audio version which won the 2021 Gold Medal IPPY. Now I have a jacketed hardcover (pictured) together with the Deluxe Edition which is on its way for the Holliday Season. One great reason for doing all this is because next year, I am launching Twelve Cursed Sisters, my series of Historical Fantasy novels. I purchased a round rug, and found a wonderful coffee table with an oval glass top on top of a sculptural base that has a little "pocket" to put things. I did all of this for UNDEr $1000.00! I painted the walls Province Blue (so soothing.) I bought an étagère bookcase (in back) to hold my collection of over-large books, which includes The World's Most Beautiful Libraries. But if I'm doing something where I require more stimulation (like marketing) I listen to a capella or unaccompanied choral music. Before I write a word of my novels, I do TWO kinds of reading: A) I read history books to get the most recent thinking about the period in which my novel is set B) I read books by other historical novelists in the subgenre I'm writing about, so that I can see what they have done, principally so that I can do something different. Naturally, I research my novel in one of the most beautiful libraries in the world, the Klementinum in Prague! #historic #fiction #research #writingnovels

As most of you know, Lucinda Riley was the talented author behind the "Seven Sisters" series. I devoured each volume as it came out and was so shocked when she suddenly died before she could finish. What made her so great? She wrote with a great deal of empathy about young women today. Unlike many feminists, she was not against men, she thought they had a place in a strong woman's life.
