A Caucasian silver mounted kindjal (‘kama’) with belt. From Dagestan, late 19th century (front, rear and two close-ups). Straight, double-edged blade with double groove and a deep mark at the base; silver-plated hilt richly engraved and nielloed; wooden scabbard decorated en suite; the rear surface, smooth and nielloed. With leather belt featuring mounts of engraved and nielloed silver. Length: 49 cm.
