Harmony Missionary Baptist Church - Oakland
Harmony Missionary Baptist Church is a Baptist church at the corner of 41st and Telegraph. The church was established in 1964 in Berkeley. After a fire in 1976 destroyed their building, the congregation ended up at the YMCA at 3265 Market Street. Pastor I.H. Lewis purchased the building on 41st Street with his own money. After Pastor Lewis died in 1979, Pastor A.L. Cobbs, Sr. took over and served until his death in 2011. The building was originally home to St. Paulus Lutheran Church.
