8th Grade art club Topography idea. Students begin drawing an organic shape on a large pc construction paper. Cut out - re-trace it on another piece & copy the line only a little smaller. Keep up until pieces become small. Once all pieces are cut out - start to glue together & put a small piece of styrofoam in between to show height. Place styrofoam above one another, easier to press down as built up.- created via http://pinthemall.net
The Color Thesaurus for Writers and Designers from Ingrid’s Notes. The color blocks represent white, tan, yellow, orange, red, pink, purple, blue, green, brown, gray and black. Really interesting blog...
Paper sculpture Use large sheets of paper and then a generic cardboard shape in between each sheet to add dimension. Could be easily assembled with glue does. Possible topographic map model?
Sleeping in the Rick-While this is a very simple paper sculpture, one could press more shape onto the flat pieces of the fox, giving it a better 3d effect. The grasses could all be worked in a similar fashion, as well. Whether flat, or shaped, it all depends on how much time you want to spend on it.
