This is a project I worked on a couple of months ago for Inspired Minority Pictures. I worked on and was in charge of the ocean simulations and procedural ocean extension, the ocean shaders and did look development for the ocean renders. It is all simulated in Houdini with a customized version of the wave layer tank and rendered in Mantra. I had help from Johnty Pressinger with the ocean work and the ship was done by TX Boutique VFX.

I had the pleasure of directing MLB star Bryce Harper for the new Gatorade Fierce commercial. A lot of time consuming VFX fluids were used to define the new look for the fierce campaign.

Canary Surge, is a personal project where i developed new workflows and new setups for Whitewater (Splash, Spray and Foam) to improve the original flip simulation in houdini. I know still there are lot of things to be fix and to be add, but so hard to do on a single machine. New Whitewater setup, now the all the splashes have full flip behavior (not like ballistic particles as by default) including surface tension and can be reduced to an a specific area to create more concentrated…
