Corinne would lay among the dandelions for hours at a time, and smile up at the sun, and she could see the sun smiling back at her, all while the dandelions sang in her ears.
Perhaps one of the most depressing moments in the play this image reminded me of Ophelia's death. You can imagine her dress slowly dragging her down under into the darkness of the river.
